7. International transfers

The Website is hosted on servers in the United Kingdom. The personal data you submit is transferred to our team in India, where we plan and operate your journey, and to partners in India who host and guide you.

India is not currently recognised by the UK or the European Commission as providing an "adequate" level of data protection. Where we transfer your data from the UK or EEA to India, we use appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with technical measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and staff confidentiality obligations. Some transfers are also necessary to carry out your booking with us.

You can request a copy of these safeguards by emailing viraj@indiatigersafari.com.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Passport and ID details: deleted from our systems as soon as your trip ends.
  • Health, dietary and accessibility information, and emergency contacts: deleted when your trip ends.

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: name and email kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Legal and financial records: where the law requires us to keep certain records, such as invoices, we keep only what is required, for the period required, and use it for no other purpose.

We use essential cookies to run the Website. With your consent, we also use analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept, reject or adjust non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing;
  • object to direct marketing at any time.

To use any of these rights, email viraj@indiatigersafari.com. We respond within one month, and we may need to verify your identity first.

11. Children

Our services are for adults. Where a booking includes a child under 18, the parent or guardian provides the child's details and consents on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect children's data directly, and we do not target children with advertising.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption, restricted access and secure hosting. If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
