Postcard Gir
A boutique lodge among mango orchards on the edge of Gir National Park
Postcard Gir is a boutique lodge in the village of Talala in Gujarat, set among mango orchards on the edge of Gir National Park, the last wild home of the Asiatic lion, and it is part of the Postcard Hotels collection of intimate luxury properties. Guests stay in ensuite cottages and rooms spread through the orchard, and the Luxury Room measures about 600 square feet with a king-size bed. Meals are served in the on-site restaurant, and an outdoor pool sits among the trees. The lodge is a short drive from Gir National Park, from the village of Sasan Gir and its temple, and from the Somnath temple, which makes it a base for combining time in the forest with the culture of the Saurashtra region.
